Since July 2010, he is Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for the political party SDKÚ-DS. During his activities in National Council he will be not present in any activities of SGI except of participation in research projects as researcher-expert.
A co-founder of SGI. He also teaches at the Institute of Public Policy and Economics of the Comenius University in Bratislava. Between 2002 and 2006, he was the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of Slovakia. He focuses on issues of employment and social policy, public finance and monetary policy, education policy and governance. His graduate education including PhD in Economics was done at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. He is author of numerous papers and books. In addition to his academic career, he also works as a consultant for international institutions including the World Bank, OECD or the Department for International Development.
