The Slovak Voice in Brussels

After analysis of documents and number of interviews with whole range of stakeholders in Slovakia, Brussels and Luxemburg, the project team prepared report. The report consists of three main parts: description of the present state of affair in filling the positions on EU level by Slovak citizens and of the use of potential of Slovak citizens already working in the EU; identification of the main problems; proposing recommendations to improve the present situation.

Economic and Social Reforms in Slovakia: On Some Aspects of Public Policy Process and Interests Advocacy was published by TIS and INEKO at the beginning of the year 2002. Since the political turnaround in 1989, Slovakia has been undergoing continuous changes resulting from both internal and external impacts. These changes cover political institutions, a gradual reengineering of the economic policy and the establishment of the independent state, as well as the adaptation to the requirements for membership in elite clubs (especially the European Union).

National Report on Education Policy

National Report on Education Policy has been published by SGI and INEKO in early 2002. The report seeks to contribute to public and experts' discussion on alternatives from amongst which our society chooses when providing for public services. According to the report, the main focus of the education reform in Slovakia should address the high selectivity, specialization and rigidity of the school system.
